If you’ve been around the Good Way for a while, you know this is not our first journey into the Hundred Acre Wood. I could hardly wait for Winnie the Pooh to enter the public domain. When it did, I dove in, despite the fact that my family was preparing for a cross country move while I was teaching full-time. It was poorly timed and despite my good intentions, the season died after a few episodes. Of all the stories, Winnie the Pooh least deserved such a pathetic end.
The book was packed away into a box and disappeared from both sight and mind for several years when we moved into a rental too small for proper bookshelves. This spring we finally moved into a house that feels like home. The book boxes are being unpacked, revealing treasures I’ve missed like old friends. When the little clothbound copy of Winnie the Pooh popped up, I knew it was time.
And so if your children aren’t too old now, as if there is such a thing, won’t you join me in the adventure? My hope and prayer is that this season will bring wonder and delight to your home over the next ten weeks. Be sure to tune in to the bonus episodes for the story of Happy: The Life of a Bee by Walter Flavius McCaleb, too. I am so excited about all the content this season, I hope you love it! Be sure to download the guide for fun supplemental materials including fun print-outs, sheet music, narration sheets, a guide to literature discussion, a yummy honey inspired recipe, and more!
What’s New This Season?
With a little help from Winnie the Pooh and his friends, we’ll explore the magic of friendship- and be reminded to slow down and live our days with a bit more gratitude and intention.
Our Scripture focus comes from John 13:34–35, where Jesus gives us a new command: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
We’ll sing “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” a hymn that reminds us we’re never alone.
Our poem this season is “The Bee” by Emily Dickinson, a short and curious tribute to the humble bee. You’ll also hear “The Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, a musical whirlwind that captures the buzzing energy of bees in motion.
And there’s bonus material, too! We’ll take a peek inside Happy: The Life of a Bee, a story that shows us the beauty and design of bees and the important role they play in God’s creation. These little ten minute bonus episodes will drop throughout the season, perfect for short car rides or a lunchtime diversion!

This is the book my daughter is getting for her 6th birthday, the complete collection of stories and poems including original illustrations in color! It just came out in Feb!
There are more fun Winnie the Pooh things here. As always, Amazon links help me offset the cost of producing the pod so you can listen for free without any weird ads!
You can also find links to all the other Good Way Treasures here as well!
