I'm excited to let you know that the first episode of season 8 is live!
The hymn this season is a classic- "Be Thou My Vision". My brother Jeff captured the essence of this prayer so beautifully, I hope you love it as much as I do!
We’ll be memorizing Psalm 36:5-9, so be sure to print it out and hang it up in your house.
Finally, we’re diving in to the world of Shakespeare, and I could not be more excited about it! This first episode is a bit long, but I’m hoping the format is helpful. I’ve chosen to read from “Tales from Shakespeare” by Charles and Mary Lamb. These retellings for children are 200 years old, so the language is still a bit difficult. I’m breaking the stories down into chunks and taking breaks to narrate back the important details of the story. Feel free to press pause and have your child narrate back what they’ve heard before my commentary. At the beginning of the season I’ll spend extra time narrating, but perhaps by the end I’ll keep it to a minimum. I’d love to hear from you about how the podcast experience translates. I don’t want to give too much of the story away, but I also want to offer enough to support to make it accessible!
Finally, thank you for your ongoing support. Somehow, this little podcast has just surpassed 100k downloads! New listeners join each week, and I am honored that you have chosen to invite me into your lives.
Check out the Season 8 Guide. Its short and sweet with some documents to complement the content. Your purchase helps me to offset the costs of this little podcast hobby and I’d be most grateful for your support.
Onward & Upward,
Holly
